Jim noticed the approach only when he heard the voice. It didn't startle him, though he turned to the side swiftly, looking down at the woman and offering her a warm, friendly smile.
"No, probably not. But I'm not exactly sure where to start, so," he shrugged, pulling his hand back from the hilt of one of the swords. It was too heavy for him, anyway. "I thought I'd see what my options are. Maybe eventually ask someone to show me the ropes. Do you know how to wield a sword?"
