"I suppose," she agreed. Ariadne had attended a great many. Although mostly for people she'd never actually known. She'd heard it said that funerals were for the living, for the loved ones left behind. But she hadn't actually been left behind.

It was the same with these people. She felt bitterness and sadness that they were gone but...it wasn't personal. It was the same sadness she felt in the wake of any disaster.

"I don't like the fire, though," she added thoughtfully. "Water I can understand. It makes sense. But fire seems so...violent. As if we need more violence, after everything that happened."
