"I would argue that's not always the case." Just look at him and what he's had to adapt with. "For certain, there are those too stubborn to change. Such as it's always been the case regarldess of world or era."

Unless, perchance, there were beings entirely autonomous, without the ability to change or adapt at all. Part of him wondered if there were such creatures, but in all he'd seen that could very well be the case.

"Animals in the loosest sense of the term." He clarified. "They may not eat, but if the environment is hostile to them they'll still die or weaken, and like all creatures they reproduce by some means or another." That was as best he could describe them of course. "They have more general names-germs, microorganism, bacteria and viruses. The other description is just easier."
