Having her move closer was a tangible sign of progress. It meant she felt safer than she had and was willing to inch out of her safe haven. If he could continue making progress perhaps they could find themselves on solid ground again.

Connor looked up and in her direction. "I'd like to make sure that those issues which were causing you distress are fully resolved."
