She's not too surprised to hear he feels guilty too. He seems like a responsible kind of person, after all, and there's got to be a lot back home that's depending on him. At least Chizuru's absence is mostly going to hurt one person - she can't even imagine how many people would be shocked or hurt by Jim suddenly being gone.

But she's grateful to hear what he's saying end on a hopeful note. It makes some of the sadness fade from her smile.
