Eyeing the children with more trepidation than should a man who's lived thousands of years, Shen Wei blinks needlessly, his version of a shrug. "It seems harmless enough for now," he says, hoping he sounds as if he's joking when he adds, "I'd hate to incur the wrath of the local children."
