1. CASTLE A lot has happened to Mary in the past 24 hours. She went to bed after celebrating Christmas with her family and woke up in a magical realm with no way to go home. Naturally, it's a lot to take in. She's worried about her family and her son, all of whom must be in a panic to find her. She's still not convinced by people who say that no one back home will know that she's missing.
After having a bit of breakfast, she mingles with both the gods and the other Wanderers. Specifically, she wants to know what these gods are about. Mary has heard of Odin and maybe Frigg before, but beyond that, she hasn't a clue. Despite there being a rich Viking history in the area that she's from, her knowledge of Norse mythology is zero.
She takes a cup of tea from one of the natives bearing drinks and sips it with a sigh. None of the gods are standing out immediately as a good fit for her. Impulsively, she turns to the person next to her.
"How did you decide which god house to pick?"
II. THE GAME After finally choosing Tyr, Mary listens in to the rules of the planned game for the day. Honestly, it sounds like fun, and never let it be said that Mary isn't competitive. Being new, she'd like to help win something for her house. That said, she's not huge on team activities. Not knowing anyone either, she sets out on her own, deciding that this will be a way for her to do some exploring of the city.
She starts in Tyr's district, mostly to familiarize herself with it. Mary pokes through some of the plants along the sidewalks, trying to find anything that might have a coin in it. Picking up a rock, she turns it over in her hands, waiting to see if anything happens.
Later, she's in the library in Odin's district, because clearly some of these coins have to be hiding in books. She starts on one shelf and goes through, picking up each book and seeing if there's a coin inside.
"I do hope that there are a lot of coins in here," she says, "otherwise I'll be quite annoyed that I've spent so much time picking up every book in the library."
[ OOC: Open to other things/wildcard as well! PM or sparks_fly. I'm going to RNG for which coins she picks up. ]
